According to court documents, Mr. Lee was charged with 10 counts of importing a prescription medicine into the United States and distributing it in interstate commerce. Mr. Lee allegedly conspired to steal and distribute the prescription medicine.
On February 5, 2018, federal grand jury indictment against him was filed in Birmingham, Alabama. The indictment alleged that Mr. Lee had conspired to import the prescription medicine into the United States. Lee was a licensed distributor of the medication.
On February 6, 2018, federal court sentencing was announced. Lee was also ordered to pay restitution to the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP), which held a list of licensed pharmacies that distribute the medication. In addition, NABP was ordered to pay $4.00 to the pharmacy association to resolve the complaints.
On February 10, 2018, federal court ordered Mr. Lee to pay $50,000 in restitution. His bond was set at $1,500.
The U. S. District Court for the Northern District of Florida, acting on behalf of Mr. Lee, sentenced Mr. Lee to 12 months of imprisonment for the crime, which was to run for ten years.
On February 12, 2018, the U. District Court for the Northern District of Florida sentenced Mr. Lee to 10 years of probation, which was to run for one year. He was also ordered to pay restitution to the NABP and NABP.
The court ordered Mr. Lee to pay restitution to the NABP and NABP, the pharmaceutical industry association, which was responsible for providing the drug distribution services.
